I may incur some backlash for this one, and if I offend you and you end up deleting or removing me from your feed, I understand…

No one is stupid.

No one is an idiot.

No one is bad.

Everyone is doing their best.

Everyone.

Even the worst ones are still doing their best.

We can only use the tools we’ve been given until we learn anew.

This means me/you most importantly.

The extremists have been programmed to see that violence and hatred are their only reality.

Like a pair of glasses given to them and through the lenses they can only see one way.

Love is subject to compassion and what you deny for others you deny for yourself.

If you want more love and peace then you’re going to have to give more love and peace.

Especially to the ones who act in a horrible and violent way.

They need it most.

Because if they had the knowledge and resources to act in a loving manner they wouldn’t use violence or hatred.

I’m not denying that there are repercussions for violence and hatred towards humanity.

Tsunami, terrorist, forest fire, miscarriage, moral misconduct, dictator, all can be considered egregious and an abomination but it is our reaction to them that determines everything.

We must see that we have a lot of work to do and forgiving the ones who have committed the wrongs is the first step.

Chastising with our thoughts and words towards the ones who can’t or haven’t done better keeps the violence and hatred in the world in perpetual motion.

That doesn’t mean let them off the hook or sit on our hands and do nothing.

It means until we see that we have a responsibility within ourselves to take the high road, it will never end.

It means that that we cannot allow the violence and hatred to pollute the divine vessels we’ve been given.

It means we are to continue carrying the loving torch in the dark and to protect it at all costs from being snuffed out by the shadows, aversions, resentments, and ill will.

I’m certainly not a murderer or a religious extremist but I have had to forgive myself and others for not knowing or doing better, and if I hadn’t, I would’ve taken my own life because of the heaviness and magnitude of the wrong doing.

Hatred and revenge will sink anyone’s ship.

Love and forgiveness are our strongest and only superpowers.
