Love is Our Universal Language

Love is our universal language.

Everyone understands love.

It’s in an apple with peanut butter, baseball game, and brand-new windshield.

It’s in your oma’s knitting needles, your father’s strong hands, and your mother’s sweet words.

It’s in a hard days work, window washing, and snow shoveling.

It’s in a good book, delicious recipe, and sweet baby toes… and it’s in cat and dog paws too.

You can wear it like a coat, carry it like an umbrella, use it like a flashlight, sit in it like a passenger in a love-car on a love-seat, and you can wrap yourself up in it like the biggest, warmest, and softest loving quilt you can imagine.

You can put it in your coffee, gas tank, or pocket, and you can even put it in your shampoo.

You can sing it like a bird, bee, or blustery evening.

You can make your bed with it, you can make your dinner with it, you can even make babies, and bowties with this universal language of love.

It will radiate off of you like a blinding flashing billboard sign that says…

LOVE IS HERE AND NOW AND IT’S ALL FOR YOU!!

If you can remember it in every moment, it will carry you through every experience like riding on the back of an eagle soaring through the sky.

Drive your love-car, speak your love-words, think your love-thoughts, wear your love-lenses, and bathe with loving bath salts in your loving love-bath.

And let it follow you wherever you go like a puppy or kitten that you’ve named LoveBug.

When you practice writing this love letter to yourself from the moment you open your eyes to the moment you close them to dream, you will be consumed by this universal language of love.

Your cup will become so full with this potion of love, it will have to spill over onto everyone you meet in the office, grocery store, and on the side of the road with your loving flat tire.

Let’s not forget it’s in the death of a mother, child, or marriage.

It’s also in a pandemic, terminal illness, and tsunami.

Behind all of the pain and heartache, win, loss, peak of the mountain top, and low valley, there is love waiting for your recognition.

It’s in all of us, we are woven with this loving thread, and it connects all of our deepest loving insides together, that is why all of our blood runs red.

Love-a-dub-dub… we’re all in the same tub… of love.

I am love.

You are love.

Love is all we have and love is all there is.
